Another Productive Day!

It was another great day at Shands Hospital in the NICU 3! Pearson is in the clear for being on ECMO again! We can finally be excited about this great news! They were able to remove the tubes out from the side of his neck that they kept in just in case he needed to go back on the ECMO. The more tubes they take away the more of our beautiful son we get to see...one piece of tape and tube at a time! Just like the other day when I saw his cute little ear for the first time....I never thought I would be so excited to see a little ear! Lol! We are praying that everyday gets better and better as it has been here lately. I love being able to share great news with you all!

I couldn't resist sharing this adorable picture we got today of our precious little angel!:) He had to be heavily sedated in order to do the surgery earlier today to take the tubes out of his neck, so this is him waking up tonight from the surgery.

  2. Little P said that he is getting tired of you two snapping pictures just as he is waking up, could you please give him just a minute to wake up and get ajusted!!!! Just remember that he will be home soon and on his way to payback to Mom & Dad, not sure how cute you two are going to think it is at 3:00am when he wide awake at home & is asking you to get the camera and take his picture. He is so precious can't wait to see him again this weekend, he is going to get to meet cousin Brooks for the first time, oh the trouble I see in their future.

Hugs and kisses to the three of you

  4. Hi Matt, Brandi, and Pearson! I have been reading the posts everyday and I'm so thankful that God is answering our prayers daily! People all over the world are praying for our little baby. We will continue praying. He looks just like his daddy in that picture. Your dad keeps me posted everyday with the texts, too. He even is calling the baby "our baby" which I think is so great! I really believe he wants to be apart of this baby's life. God does work miracles. We love our little miracle!! There's a miracle working in his grandpa too. Tell everybody I love them. Hope to come down and see Pearson soon because I know I will be able to hold him. You too are special people because God chose you too to have such a precious miracle, and to use Dr. Keye as the instrument for this miracle. We love you three so much. Love, Grandpa and Grandma Robert.

  6. I think this is my favorite picture of Pearson. Oh wait, I say that about every one of his pictures!!! I am continually amazed by God's grace and mercy. Lil P is getting stronger each day. I can see it and I can feel it! He is such a fighter and so determined to come home to meet his wonderful family and friends. I can't wait until we can look back on this experience and think about how it has enriched our lives. I'm so proud of you two. Have I told you that today? If not, I've thought it, today and every day. As Matt used to say when he was a little boy, "I love y'all more than love can love!"
    Love,
    Mom

  9. I just found your blog via another CDH family's blog. Pearson is so sweet and looks like he is doing so good in the pictures. So happy that you found Dr Kays too - as you already know, he is absolutely the best at saving CDH babies.

Prayers for both of you and your new little one as you continue on the journey. You have another CDH family here, if you ever need anything.
